05.28.19

PHILADELPHIA (May 24, 2019)— Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP (Klehr Harrison) is pleased to announce that Amanda Dougherty has been elected to the Philadelphia Board of Revision of Taxes (BRT) by the Board of Judges of the Philadelphia Common Pleas Court. Amanda will be the youngest member and the only woman on the BRT and she is the first woman to serve in a decade.

Amanda’s experience representing both the City of Philadelphia and its taxpayers in real estate tax matters was a major factor in her election to the BRT. She said, “I am beyond honored to be entrusted with this responsibility and look forward to serving our City for the next six years.” Managing Partner, Brad Krouse, noted that “Amanda’s credentials and experience in real estate tax matters are excellent and she will be a major asset to the BRT.”

Amanda’s dynamic approach to litigation has already earned her a reputation for being an astute, forceful advocate. She has handled matters ranging from multimillion-dollar real estate matters to simple collections actions, from international real estate development arbitrations to consumer protection actions.

Before joining Klehr Harrison, Amanda was an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia Tax Unit which gave her invaluable insight into Philadelphia tax and real estate issues, including tax assessment appeals, foreclosure actions and tangled title concerns. She began her career as a prosecutor in Montgomery County.
