Matthew J. McHugh

Associate | Real Estate and Finance | Zoning and Land Use

Biography

Matt McHugh is an attorney in the Real Estate & Finance Department and a member of the Land Use & Zoning Practice Group. He focuses his practice on real estate, land use/zoning, and general corporate matters. Matt is quick to identify potential issues in a transaction or the entitlement process and when he does he combines his connections and experience to advise on a course of action that will best meet his client’s goals.

Matt has extensive experience with real estate acquisitions, financing and development and has appeared regularly before various zoning hearing boards, planning commissions and governing bodies as part of the zoning and subdivision and land development approval process. In addition, he serves as the Solicitor for the Bensalem Township Zoning Hearing Board and the Lower Southampton Township Zoning Hearing Board. His practice also includes representation of clients in appellate matters in the courts of common pleas and other Pennsylvania appellate courts.

Prior to joining the firm, Matt practiced at two other regional law firms, in their corporate/real estate and municipal departments. He also previously served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. C. Theodore Fritsch, Jr. in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.

Matt was named to the list of “Pennsylvania Rising Stars” in (2016-2019) by Super Lawyers, which recognizes only 2.5% of attorneys.
